Wykked Wytch…

It’s an extreme metal band from Miami, Florida. Basically, we’re just a bunch of guys and one girl trying to do music brutal as we could, and basically we love playing, we love brutality in the music and we have a lot of fun, that’s pretty much it! We try to stay at our own limits, we’re not trying to make a very complex music… we have a lot of good riffs, heavy deep lyrics; basically we’re just a pure metal band! I wouldn’t call it any gender of black or death, we’re just extreme metal.

The label…

At the time, Dave from Cradle of Filth had a good idea, he liked our band and wanted to sign for our fourth release and had promised a lot of financial support, we started going to the studio to record the album but they didn’t have the funds, basically they breach the contract and we just tried to get out of it, ‘cause of that we decided to release our own label which is Perish Music Group.

A new album planned…

We’ve been on tour for two weeks, once we get back home we’re going to finish the writing process, probably in 2010 we’re going to studio for the fifth album.

The present times…

Right now we’re happy about being independent, we’re in charge, and we control all of our releases, the financial part etc… but at the mean time, if there’s a good offer from some big label we can definitely consider it, that’s not a problem... that’s an option; but that’s not a big deal for us right now being on a big label, because as you know bands don’t sell anymore ‘cause free downloads and shit, so therefore we rely on touring selling merchandise to make some kind of income to recoup the money we spend on the recording.

A woman in a men’s world…

Females in this extreme metal music, faces a lot of challenges up against a male dominated metal scene, but… then again… you stick with your ideals, and if you’re really passionate about your music and for what you’re doing, so I believe that anything can’t stop you… and you can say “Fuck off…” ‘Cause I know that men when they see a girl just want to see her tits and ass, they don’t care what your singing, they just want to see someone who shows some boobs, right? And I see some of the women, trying to get attention by showing off their body and that’s the wrong thing to do, you have to be who you are and stick with the music you’re doing and never be bullied by guys in the metal music, because women also have balls but they’re higher… I feel like that I’m one of them; I don’t feel I’m just a woman or whatever, I’m just as brutal… I can fight, I can course and drink as much as they can, so I don’t feel that I’m outcast or an outsider
