Thanatoschizo…
Guilhermino – Thanatoschizo it’s a band from Sta. Marta de Penaguião with almost 12 years, at this time we have 4 albums and we’re preparing the 5th one. We’re already at studio for this 5th one, and it’s going to be an acoustic album with acoustic versions of previous songs. We’re a peculiar band in the metal scene, because we don’t have a specific gender like trash, death or black metal. We mix a little bit of each and we try to get influences from other kinds out of the metal scene.
The acoustic album…
Guilhermino – We abandoned several prejudices such as compose long themes, we managed to arrange tracks with 3 or 5 minutes top, which was a big challenge for us and from production to mastering, at the end this is the best album from Thanatoschizo. Working this way in the album production allow us to seek new horizons for future projects, the time we spent doing this will be compensated in the future ones.
Possible fans reaction…
At this time, it won’t be a surprise Thanatoschizo recording an acoustic album so, personally, I think fans will have a good reaction. We had some semi-acoustic performances and the reactions were pretty good, we have influences of folklore music, wind instruments and others, which make Thanatoschizo have a peculiar sound, after all we´re a band from Trás-os-Montes and we play typical instruments from there.
Afterwards…
After the album recording we’re planning to do some shows in Portugal, we think this new project will open some doors that were closed; some international shows may also be possible because we have some international labels working with us.
The release…
We were checking who would be interested in release the album and the Major Label Industries showed up and seem to be a good opportunity for Thanatoschizo.It’s going to be very melodic, the vocals will have a bigger impact – it’s an acoustic album – the two vocalists will outstand because we don’t have the distortion …
