This album is shattering the boundaries of creativity and imagination as its predecessors did. And while the US bands inspiring evolution never failed to amaze their adherents, they also managed to be as controversial as ever in their relentless pursuit of groundbreaking sounds. To celebrate Morbid Angel's ingenuity, which now even incorporates structures derived from the Electro scene, the idea was born to invite worldwide electro and techno superstars to revisit the tracks of "Illud Divinum Insanus". The response of DJs and electro stars was overwhelming and no less than 31 fresh, sharp and inventive remixes grace this release. A further 8 crazy and stunning re-interpretations will be available with the limited first pressing of "Illud Divinum Insanus - The Remixes" on a bonus download card. Among the famed participants in this fascinating project will be Laibach, Skold, The Toxic Avenger, Project Pitchfork, Micropoint and Black Strobe among many others. For those with an open mind these artists will introduce you to Morbid Angel’s parallel world filled with industrial, minimalistic, dub step, hypnotic, hardcore, horror, dark and even avant-garde electronic music for almost 3 hours. Join this trip into musical realms where no Metal band dared to go before!
The final album will feature 31 songs on two CDs + a bonus Dropcard featuring 8 more tracks, going from techno hardcore to industrial, from dubstep to electro dark.
