Length: 55'33" This Canadian combo raised up from the dust of their collective previous project, called THE MASS, who did release an album in 2005 on Great White North Records.
"With this new album their sound got much more complete and intense: in fact on top of their obscure Funeral Doom roots, reminding of certain Finnish projects like UNHOLY, THERGOTHON, SKEPTICISM, SHAPE OF DESPAIR the band recently coloured their sound with anger and rage, making it rather more aggressive and apocalyptic than just hopelessly depressive.
In one simple sentence you can imagine Towards Darkness as THE perfect meeting in between those mentioned obscure european doom outfits and a typically american post-doom sound ala NEUROSIS."
The first 300 copies of the album will include a bonus disc: a completely unreleased minialbum titled “Empire”: this was recorded in the same time as “Barren”
