How are scores attributed?

Welcome to the place where the new albums get to be judged by our Riff collaborators. Our reviewers aim to give the most suitable scores to each and every album analised, and as such here's a little explanation on how the scores are attributed.
0 to 4.5 points
These albums are given a negative score because they're badly written or performed, pointless or just plain horrible. The lower the score is the higher the puke factor gets.
5 to 7 points
These albums start on a low score but they already have some positive aspects, and they can eventually please some people. They're still considered mediocre but are decent enough for a casual listen.
7.5 to 9 points
These albums are already interesting enough to suggest an immediate investment. These are the ones that make your heart run faster, your head bang, you fingers make air guitars...You get the point!
9.5 to 10 points
If you see an album given this score then you’ve reached the pantheon of the Metal Gods! These are the albums that will be remembered in the future and are masterpieces in their genres. Riff recommended!
