Lanfear will release their new studio album on the 24th of February 2012. Since 1996’s "Towers", the bands debut album, they have released five studio albums, which brought a lot of attention to the band as excellent musicians and songwriters. They play slightly progressive, European-styled Power Metal with a lot of melodies and powerful doublebass-drumming. "This Harmonic Consonance", the first release with Pure Legend Records, packs ten tracks with a playing time of approximately forty nine minutes, portraying a range of traditional and a few modern influences to the tracks.
Front man Nuno has a clear, strong voice. He is also capable of high-pitched vocals or real shouts, like in "Camera Silens". Also some keyboards are featured here to create some atmosphere. One of the highlights of the album is the eight-minute track "Idiopathic Discreation".
