Length: n/a Diabulus in Musica is a symphonic gothic metal band that perfectly combines a passion of classical music with heart-wrenching and modern metal.


In 2010 Diabulus in Musica released their debut album "Secrets". It was distributed worldwide through Metalblade Records.

Despite it being the first studio work for Diabulus in Musica, the production of "Secrets" had a prestigious technical team made up of Sascha Paeth and Ad Sluijter (Epica). Members of the London Philharmonic Orchestra, RTVE Orchestra, Spanish National Choir, and the Ensemble 'Nova Lux', also collaborated in the recording of "Secrets". The album received rave reviews from fans and critics alike, and generated myriad awards, nominations, and high honors within the genre.

Diabulus in Musica also built up quite a reputation as a live act. The most memorable moments included a tour of Spain in support of Manowar and another support slot on Theatre of Tragedy's Mexican farewell tour. The band has also shared the stage with the likes of Arch Enemy, Cradle of Filth, Doro, Therion, Kreator, Rage, Saxon, Epica, Sabaton, and many more.

In 2010, Diabulus in Musica debuted on the Metal Female Voices stage to a very responsive crowd. In 2011, and as a result of their previous outstanding performance, they returned to Belgium as co-headliners. To mark the occasion, Diabulus in Musica premiered their very first video to their single "Sceneries of Hope" in front of over 4000 metal fans. The video clip was also included in the official 2011 Metal Female Voices DVD.

It is worth highlighting the adoration that Diabulus in Musica has received from their fans. Only one year following the release of "Secrets", four fan clubs opened their doors: Secret Club (Costa Rica), The Seventh Gate (Mexico), Diabulus in Renaissance (South America), and Los Secretos del Diablo (Spain).

With their latest album, "The Wanderer", the Spanish quintet proves that impressive gothic metal need not hail from Scandinavia. The musicians revolving around vocalist Zuberoa Aznárez have refined the trademark sound first heard on their debut album "Secrets", and brought their latest work, "The Wanderer", to a whole new level. Diabulus in Musica unites heavy riffs with sensual melodies and appealing refrains. The backbone of the band is its powerful rhythm section, and most importantly a drummer who knows how to properly embellish songs with the finest of details. The guitars and keyboards build upon this sturdy foundation to reveal the band's strength: uniting musical prowess with irrefutable appeal. This desirable concoction becomes most apparent on tracks such as "Blazing a Trail", "Hidden Reality", and "Sentenced to Life".
