Even though Kinetik Control was formed in Oulu, in the north of Finland during the year 2000, nowadays the band resides in its capital, Helsinki.

Since the beginning, Kinetik Control has boldly combined rock, pop and metal to form a delicious cocktail of rock music completely in their own terms. Their first release, “Enslaving The Audio” EP, was mixed at the legendary Finnvox studios by Mikko Karmila (Nightwish, Children Of Bodom, Sonata Arctica). The EP was a big success and the band was honored as the newcomer of the month by the British rock magazine Metal Hammer.

In 2008, Kinetik Control recorded their first full-length album “Lack Of Divine Inspiration” once again at Finnvox studios and it was released by Bonnier Amigo Music. Electronic elements came forward on this release and the band was quickly accepted by their peers. All the four singles released in Finland achieved mainstream success and high chart entries, beating high profile artists such as Madonna, Coldplay and Beyoncé to name a few. The band was chosen as the artist of the week both on Myspace and Nokia Music Shop. The song “The Mutt” was featured in a TV-advertisement for the British car show Fifth Gear. The band also filmed a music video of the 4th single, chartbreaking “Vanguard Of The New World”. The song was on rotation on MTV, Voice and other music channels.

Kinetik Control supported the album with an extensive tour in Finland with close to 30 performances, including shows together with Poisonblack and Pain (SWE). The band also did a tour in Switzerland. The band’s songwriter, vocalist/guitarist Sauli Vuoti signed an endorsement deal with American guitar amp manufacturer, Krank. The most famous Krank-endorsed artist is James Hetfield of the legendary Metallica. Later on a partnership with the legendary Marshall amps was also made. Kinetik Control is also highly active in the web, having more than 40 000 Myspace friends.

In 2009 Vuoti got bored with the electronic elements and the band recorded their sophomore album with the title “Only Truth Remains”. Stylistically the album was more rock oriented with crispy guitars, a bit in the American tradition but tightly hanging onto the catchy Scandinavian elements. As Kinetik Control’s urge has always been to develop, the band enlisted the legendary Hanoi Rocks’ vocalist Michael Monroe as a guest musician and a consult for the recordings. Besides singing, Michael also plays saxophone and harp on the album. The album was mixed at Fried studios in Helsinki by Jyrki Tuovinen, a famous Finnish producer known for his work with several multi-platinum selling Finnish artists. His Internationally most known production has been for Eurovision song contest winners and Ozzfest participants Lordi. The album was mastered by Svante Forsback at Chartmakers, who is foremost known by his work with Rammstein. “Only Truth Remains” was released in November 2010 and entered the official Finnish album chart on position 47 despite having to compete with several Christmas albums by the time of its release. The album also debuted on 1st position on Finnish music chart, which is compiled only from music and record store sales. The album’s first single “In This Life” had debuted on 4th position on the Finnish digital chart. The 2nd single “All Fours” was offered as a free download on Finland’s largest TV-channel MTV3’s website and received huge radio success. The band also filmed a music video of that particular song.
